ITANAGAR, Sept 29: A virtual meeting to check the preparedness for the Freedom 2 Walk & Cycle as part of the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was convened on Wednesday by Capital Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom with the CEO of Smart City Itanagar Dahey Sangno, Commissioner IMC Likha Teji, EAC Datum Gadi and a host of other officers.
The CEO said the events are being organised as part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebration. He said both the events – cyclothon with the theme freedom to cycle and walkathon with the theme freedom to walk – would be flagged off from Gandhi Udayan on the day and would culminate at DKCC.
The cyclothon would be flagged off at 7 am and the walkathon would be flagged off at 7.15 am.
The DC appealed to the denizens to come forward and participate in the event.
The events are being organised by Smart City Itanagar and the Capital district administration in collaboration with the State Narcotic Division.
Duties and responsibilities assigned for the successful conduct of the event were discussed in detail with all the stakeholders. (DIPRO)
